Old things I love / Cosas viejas que me gustán

  Months ago I went to my granfathers farm house and I found a lot of old things. However, some of them were very interesting and it is easy to restore them or maybe you will only need to paint them. So I firmly reccommend you to look furniture in your family old houses or if you don't have any, you can always go to second-hand markets or flea market. I´m sure you will find some things you will like in a really good price.

  Hace meses fui a visitar el caserío de mis abuelos y claro, encontré cantidad de sillas, muebles, juguetes viejos. La mayoría me gustaron y me trajeron viejos recuerdos. Pero también hay algunos que pueden volver a usarse restaurándose o simplemente pintándolos. En conclusión, os recomiendo ir a visitar viejas casas de campo, caseríos, etc de vuestra familia. Y sino, siempre quedan los rastrillos, mercadillos y tiendas de segunda mano en los que encontraras cosas muy interesantes a buenos precios.

Cool Interiors in TV: FRIENDS

  I have always been a fan of friends. Although I have seen all the episodes I continue seeing them at TV. But especially I am a fan of the set design and tabletop wares in Monica's kitchen. Greg Grande was the set director who created Monica’s famous kitchen. 

  The style of the kitchen is eclectic and original. Greg Grande got a fle market style that everybody remembers.

  Siempre he sido fan incondicional de Friends. Aunque haya visto todos los capítulos sigo viéndolos en la televisión. Pero sobre todo soy fan del decorado y especialmente de la cocina de Mónica. El director del decorado de la serie era Greg Grande y el creador de la famosa cocina de Mónica. 

  El estilo de la cocina es ecléctico y original con sillas y mesas pintadas de colores vivos.

COOL SPACES TOUR: Cardiff Arts Institute

  Cardiff Arts Institute is a pub obviously in Cardiff (Wales) which is warm, nice and different. It has sofas, food, coffees, cakes, music that makes a special atmosphere that will make you want to go back again.

 The red brick facade hides a spacious interior where you can have breakfast, lunch, dinner and also go for a drink at night with live music. Inside, stands out the plastic gloves wall. But also Lego walls, old telephones, a table with toy cars inside, etc.

  Cardiff Arts Institute es una cafetería de Cardiff (Gales) acogedora, agradable y diferente. Con sus sillones, música, comida, cafés, etc. te sentirás como en casa con su decoración algo particular.

  El edificio exterior de ladrillo no parece albergar la cafetería del interior. Desde una puerta accedemos a la amplia zona de estar distribuida a lo largo de todo el bar con sofás, mesas y sillones que sirve de restaurante para comida, cenas y desayunos, y comparte espacio con un escenario para música en directo y diversas actividades. 

  La decoración es ecléctica, en la que destaca la pared formada por guantes de plástico de colores. Acompañan piezas de lego en la pared, teléfonos antiguos, cubos de rubik, coches de juguete, etc.

DIY: Recycle book case / Librería reciclada

  I have seen wood boxes in so many coffee shops used as book cases or tables. This pictures are a good example of it. They can be used as night table, book cases, etc. There are several ways to personalize it in your own way as: you can join more than one and make different forms, put one or two on it, painted in colours, ... Be creative!

  Había visto en muchas cafeterías estás cajas de madera usadas como mesas o librerías. Se pueden usar para multitud de cosas. Para personalizarlas hay muchas ideas: puedes poner una encima de otro y crear formas geométricas distintas, puedes pintarlas y poner papel pintado en el fondo, etc. Lo importante es ser creativo!

COOL SPACES TOUR: Pump Room Bath, UK

  The Grand Pump Room is located in Bath, England in a historic building. You can admire chandelier lamps, large windows, corinthian columns, ... It is a historic building and it was built in XVII century. The facade of the building features Corinthian half columns that are also inside the restaurant. 

 Visitors can take the waters from the warm spring paying 50 p which fills the adjacent Roman Baths and eat in the restaurant. Music in the restaurant is provided by the Pump Room Trio—the longest established resident ensemble in Europe or by a pianist.

   El restaurante Pump room es un elegante y lujoso restaurante en la ciudad de Bath, en el Reino Unido. Podrás admirar lámparas de cristal, grandes ventanales, columnas corintios, ... Este histórico edificio fue contruido en el siglo XVIII. 

  Los visitantes podrán beber agua de las termas desde la espectacular fuente pagando 50 p. Además, se puede disfrutar de música en directo de piano.
