I know that Halloween was 4 days ago. Anyway, Happy Halloween to everyone! The best way to celebrate this day is watching a horror film such as Shining (1980). I have seen this film thousand of times and I still become frightened like the first time. Part of the succes of the film is in the interiors that were filmed in a studio.
All of the interior rooms of The Overlook Hotel were filmed at Elstree Studios in England, including The Colorado Lounge, where Jack does his typing. Because of the intense heat generated from the lighting used to recreate window sunlight (the room took 700,000 watts of light per window to make it look like a snowy day outside), the lounge set caught fire. Fortunately all of the scenes had been completed there, so the set was rebuilt with a higher ceiling.

Para celebrar el día de Halloween que fue hace cuatro días, no hay nada mejor que ver una peli de miedo como El Resplandor. Aunque ya la he visto miles de veces, cada vez que la veo sigo asustandome como el primer día. Parte de este exito se debe a los escalofriantes decorados.
Todos los interiores del Hotel Overlook fuerón filmados en los estudios Elstree Studios en Inglaterra, incluyendo el lounge Colorado donde Jack escribe a maquina. Debido al intenso calor que se formó con la multitud de luz utilizada para imitar la luz del día a través de las ventanas el lounge prendió fuego. Afortunadamente, todas las escenas fuerón acabadas ahí asi que el decorado fue remodelado con techos más altos.
